In October 1965 my Mother brought home a copy of Practical Electronics (actually the November issue). This was my first electronics magazine and I still have it today. At the time, the magazine had been running a series of articles called "Beginners Start Here" and this issue had number 13 - how to build a multivibrator. I convinced my Dad to buy me the parts from the local electronics store in Weymouth. Dad made the wooden block, provided the brass nails and did most of the soldering. I had just turned ten years old and this project began my electronics hobby and career.
