On the way West to Rock Cut. The snow bank is over 10 feet high here.

This sign is on the bathrooms at rock cut. There was snow on the floor inside.

A yellow-bellied marmot on the short trail from the parking lot at the West side of Rock Cut. Elevation here is about 12,100 feet.

Just East of the Lava cliffs which can be seem ahead in the distance.

The lava cliffs. This is just before the highest point on the road which is at 12,183 ft (3713m).
